During Women’s History Month, it can be very useful to take stock of where we are. Certainly we’ve come a long way since the days when women were not allowed to vote or own property, but there still remain many obstacles to true equity. Some of those obstacles have become so normalized, we might not even notice them, for example, subtle verbal microaggressions when women get interrupted or dismissed at meetings. Another one is the Goldilocks Dilemma. This presentation will put our progress so far –and the journey ahead– into a historical context, with some surprising statistics.
